Had a sip from the glass and the rest was over vanilla ice cream. Lovely with dessert. Not enough acid (and or too syrupy) for stand alone, Im afraid. And Im generally pretty forgiving. A bit reminiscent of pedro ximenez I’m afraid (ie madierized and merely medium acidity). |

The off-dry, to my taste, is suitably in the shadows, allowing more brightness to the lychee and orchard fruit aromas and flavors. A good sense of place, and exactly what I want the type of experience I want to enjoy in young-ish Gewurz. 13,5% abv.' drink now and the next 4-7 years. 22€ at the winery, a win. Easily recommended |

Bottle seems to have hit a really good stage of drinking where the fruit personality (yellow pear, pear drop) is still the star. Aromatic- floral, honeyed, fruited, shiny, The depth of off dry flavors extends to honey botrytis, toasted walnuts, and horseradish. Wears its beefy alcohol (14.5!) so well. The texture is sleek, not the commonly found Baroque weight. This feels Grand Cru start to long mineral finish. This is what all Pinot Gris should aspire to be. |

Incredibly long 30+ second finish of orange marmelade, citrus peel, forest honey and emerging hints of petrol on the nose. Drinks as good if not better than some of the top d’Yquem vintages (I know it’s not the same grape). 97-98 |
