Most of these traits repeat on the palate, and then add some very high quality black cherry fruit. And then mid palate see's a brick wall of tannin, perhaps one of the more structured reds I have had in quite some time. It does turn a bit dry on the finish, which became a bit of a distraction for half a glass, and then either my palate succumbed or just waived the white flag - but it didn't stand out as much for the rest of the bottle. I can see this being a little decisive for some, not the last word on subtlety, but I am a fan for sure. Big time hold here. |

Well structured, open and expressive, great weight and length. Tannins softened and the wine unfolded over the course of the night to a very complex wine. Drinking well now, but should hold for a number of years. Very enjoyable. |

Crunchy, tart acidity, red plums, cranberry, black olive, oregano, campari with an overall savoury bent. Complex and intense, great length. Slightly blocky, chewy tannins that will settle with time. Extremely well balanced, powerful yet elegant. Can't wait to try this with age, will be a real beauty! |

Medium ruby colour, garnet hue. Medium+ intensity rich aroma of leather, earth, licorice, cherries, smoky roses, smoke, hint of herbs. Full body, rich, concentrated and smoky with chewy and earthy cherry flavours, firm and fine tannins, long finish. |
