Lots of complexity to this wine. Medium body, medium acid with medium+ tannins that are firm and grippy with just enough elegance to add a nice lush texture to the wine. Long finish. Excellent wine! |

On the nose cassis, blackberry and plum with violets, sweet tobacco, mocha and savory herbs. I really dig the floral notes of this wine balanced with the savory herb (thyme and sage). Like a silk sheet on the palate with supple tannins and a long finish. This wine has everything in the right places. |

On the nose black currant, plum, cassis and mocha with black peppercorn, herbs and crushed rock. Great texture on palate, firm (but not life sucking) tannins that have just the right amount of Napa sweetness. I love that this wine displays both strength and elegance (something hard to do for Napa Cabs). I am excited for this wines future! (94-97) |

The nose is still very primary with black currant, plum, mocha, black raspberry and cassis with cedar showing the oak treatment. Some forest floor, licorice and violet is hiding under the surface, but 3-8 years of bottle age will be required to draw out more complexity. I am excited to see where this will be in the future. |

Blackberry, plum and blueberry with leather, charcoal, licorice, white lily, cedar and forest floor. Full bodied with firm and slightly sweet tannins and enough acid to provide a lift on the palate. Awesome texture on the palate- silk sheet with just enough bite to show this wine means business. Excellent finish. Give this another 3-5 years in the bottle and it will really start hitting its peak. |

Black currant, kirsch, green peppercorn, leather and dried herbs. Medium body with rustic tannins. While this wine does open up, it still leans towards a more herbaceous quality. Solid finish. |

Black currant, cassis, chocolate and mint with cedar, graphite, leather, licorice and baking spice. There is an overarching aroma of sweet oak. Full bodied with well integrated sweet tannins (there is still some tannin to shed). On the palate the sweet oak and cassis with chocolate covered mint is most prevalent. Nice finish. Decanted (some sediment) for 1-hour and enjoyed over 3-hours. |

Black cherry, raspberry compote, blackberry with allspice, sweet tobacco, cinnamon, dried violet, subtle leather and white pepper. Further aeration reveals fig and raisin. On the palate this wine is medium+ body with a lovely lift on the palate due to the well integrated acidity (medium+) of this wine. Even though this wine is so young, it is a pleasure to drink now! Please note, I decanted for 2 hours and then enjoyed over the course of 3 hours. If you have several bottles, drink one now to enjoy the youthful exuberance, however, if you only have one bottle save for 2+ years to allow everything to meld together and some added depth to come out.
