I sipped it in small glasses for four days. Definitely a desert wine, drank it straight and also with some cheese and crackers. Had some trouble with the cork, but used a strainer to remove small pieces of cork from the port. Drinking well now, but will last another 20 years. Yummy. |

However, I believe that this wine would hold up well against other fuller red wines. Smooth, full of rich muted plum, and throughly enjoyable. Ready to drink now, but no sign that it won't hold up over the next 10 years Overall, this wine is a high 89, so I rounded up to 90. |

The first time I tried this wine/vintage was in the Portland airport several years ago. The price was $25/glass (yes I know, paying airport prices is not wise). I almost fell off my tall bar chair it was so tasty and bought another glass. I had to catch a plane, or I would have ordered a third glass. Dark heavy cherry, smooth, with lingering savoring taste. Wine was tasted against a pretty good burgundy (which I would rate around 90). Sequitur had a richer taste, was smoother, and all around better than the other wine. My rating might be a notch or so high on an absolute scale because I am a fanboy of this particular wine |
