It needs some serious time in a decanter to start showing its stuff. The most recent one I decanted for 12 hours and it still wasn't showing, I poured it back in the bottle to save for the next day. The next day, I put back in the decanter for a few more hours and it started singing! Absolutely delicious, tastes of a riper style Bordeaux and nothing like the wine upon initial open. Every time I've initially opened a bottle, I've been disappointed, but give it a few more years or lots of time in a decanter and you won't be let down! |

There's a subtle greenness on the nose and palate and definitely comes across as fairly austere. Would almost guess Loire Valley Cab Franc...I know a lot of people like this flavor profile in wine, I'm just not one of them. |

The 15.5% abv made me significantly nervous but this wine is definitely balanced and shows no overt sign of alcohol. I will be buying more of these to see how they develop...decanted this one for 5 hours before starting consumption...it continued to open up brilliantly over several hours and showed like a much more expensive Cabernet. |
