This is the best Clos de Tart I've had and probably will be the best Morey I will ever drink. Blown away from the nose. Wild brambles on the balanced palate. Lucky for this evening. 05 worth holding.

This bottle feels like it wont come out of it's shell until 2040. Probably perfect Volnay at that point. Didn't even come to the party this evening. I was warned.

Objectively this is a great wine. Trying not to take the RP100 into account. Screams new world but well built and impressive for 20 years in bottle. Double decanted. Held in air for 2 hours. Integrated and preserved fruit. Lavender/floral nose. Soft feel red fruit no mid palate cocoa/vanilla on shorter than hyped finish. I think my Napa gems will be held 15-20 years more fun with age.

Light brick transparent red. Musky nose at first then the Morey salinity/gamey comes to life after a bit complimented with cinnamon, red fruit, asian spice. Light earth, dried herbs palate. Light finish but accentuates the red fruit. Nearing end of run. Enjoyable. Drink

Hazy dark red. Intoxicating rustic dark berry, meaty, wild herbs, spicy - vosne-esque vs morey nose. Balance of red and black fruit and gamey on palate which is very morey morey. Saline is savory. Excellent weight and length. Benchmark GC Morey. Wow.

Light ruby. Legs. Floral, cherry, spice. Dry palate - Raspberry, cinnamon, five-spice. Dry rustic finish. This is a great wine that should age for at least another 10-15 years.

Dark black red. Earth and Plums. Meaty. Spice. Big. Double decanted opened up more floral and dark fruit notes. Complete infanticide. Score will improve over time - there is backbone of high quality - but I'd hold off 5+ years or lengthy lengthy decant.

Dark red. Spicy, rustic, lightly smoked iron nose. Precision. Floral. Mineral. Meaty - but within balance. Razor sharp tannins. Lighter on finish than nose would indicate. Progressive energy - life ahead of it. Great wine.

Medium/dark red. Leggy. Some sediment. Heavy expressive nose - rustic, cherry, herbal funk. Balanced palate. Great feel soft and rustic in balance. Great winemakers make great wine regardless of how vintage is rated. Hard to be objective. Drink
