Tasted May 21. Too long since tasting, but recall a sublime experience. Would have handled some more years easily, but still accessible. Roses, cherry, mushroom.

Million dollar Burg nose of cured meat, sophisticated farmyard, deep and complex. The palate is still young and and a bit tight, but this will be awesome once mature. Nose 96, palate 94

Showing better than 3 years ago this was a fresh red Burg opened to cleanse our palates of a jammy Tache 16 (which we found borderline unpleasant and undrinkable). So posed with the option of Mugnier Amoureuses 18 or Fuees 14 we went for the smaller cru from a vintage we knew wouldn't be heady. It was as promised. A touch austere at first, very light in colour in the glass, nice pinch of cranberry fruit, good mineral core and energy. A good Burg (if not a great one).

PNP. Pale red color. Strawberry, cranberry nose with a bit of medicinal/vitamin element that might be VA. Beautiful lithe palate, silky with surprisingly deep but elegant cherry essence. Still quite youthful and a touch closed, needs a few years for peak but very enjoyable now.

Small glass. Bright red. Floral earth-chambolle. Strawberries. Depth. Tight tight tight. Needs time to evolve. Nose on empty glass was insane
