Opened, poured and let sit about 1 hr. Then: Maybe some dark fruit on the nose. Initial taste is dark fruit, maybe a bit sweetish; kind of rich, warm mouthfeel; acidity and tannins OK; fruit fading on the finish and maybe a bit disjointed from the entry. Fruit/taste fairly monotone through the rest of the glass, warmth and sweetish feel persists, but overall taste doesn't improve. Nothing close to a cabernet profile. This seems to be a drop-off from the bottle I had in March, 2023. Waiting a year did not help.

Upon opening, it’s a touch reductive. After 90 minutes or so however the rubbery notes have wafted away.
Dark purple/magenta color.

It’s quite big for a cru Beaujolais. Lots of dark fruit, and violets are present on the front end, with notes of roast meat, leather and lots of umami on the mid-palate. There’s a bit of tannic structure, indicating that this one will continue to improve for another 7 to 10 years. Lots of upside potential.

I would be in no rush to open a bottle if you happen to have one.

Had with pistachio basil salmon. Beautiful nose of ripe cherries with a blueberry, service berry overlay. Surprising depth. Hedonistic.

At the end of its life
hue suggests younger than its vintage, but lacks in both delicate nor intensity.
decanting for an hour does help bring its jammy redness, but barely at the edge.
Still drinkable, but also can go for another year.

Cassis on the nose and on the palate. Ripe dark fruits in the middle. The finish has blackberry and dark chocolate. The tannins are still young and there is acidity that makes me think it could get better in a few years.

PnP. Dark red, almost purple color. Cherries and stewed fruit on the nose. Massive oak on the palate with cedar and stewed fruit. Medium depth and long finish. Good value.

This has really improved since my last bottle 6 months ago. It has picked up weight and depth of flavor. Have 2 left and will give additional time to develop as I believe patience will be rewarded.

In a good place. What you would expect from Argetsinger; dry style with prominent acid. Green apple, petrol and muscat gummy on the nose. Light on its feet and sophisticated. Long finish. Finish had just a touch of bitterness.
White
Classic chard, slightly gassy and fussy at pop, half an hour later it was underripe pineapple in front of a medium noted, wet stone core and then a good pop of acidity on the finish.

Opened with trepidation due to age but was more than positively surprised as this was a truly sublime wine experience. The experience was ethereal in it being difficult to describe the balance and combination of factors that created this thing of beauty.

The colour was fresher than expected with just a tinge of gold. The palate was dry with the smallest tinge of German Riesling style sweetness. There was honey but also fresh acidity framing. The flavours were more apple, peach with florals and herb. The mouthfeel had an alluring roundness of age but still well framed by the acid.

Truly sublime and unique. It felt like some amazing combo of drinking a perfectly aged grand/premier cru white burgundy and a top shelf dry German Riesling.

While I’ve had generally very good experiences with Salomon before, I suspect this was one of those unique ‘great bottle’ experiences. (Was a stelvin closure).

Dark violet with slight cloud
Slight barnyardy, manure, but quickly overwhelmed by wild berry juices.
Freshness in palate, with plesant body. tannins are gentle that comes and goes with every swirl in mouth.

Impressions from 3 samples, each 24 hours apart from the same bottle. This is a young wine with quality oak in need of time to integrate. The fruit is ripe and nicely delineated, but obviously from a vintage different than many of those preceding it. There’s more acid (ripe not tart) and less flesh. I noted baking spices, hints of black pepper, orange peel, white florals and undergrowth. With time it may garner a higher score. My experience with this wine since the 2015 vintage has been uniformly positive.

Needed an hour of air to round out. Ripe strawberry, raspberry cherry. Slightly high toned acid. Fruit starting to take on that fuzziness that I associate with a lot of Oregon as it ages (which I don’t enjoy). I wouldn’t age this wine from here, but would give it a decant.
Red
dark dense red. Coonawarra mint, red currant, mulberry, solid wall of tannins. Excellent bottle and reliable as ever. no hurry to drink up.

I do not smell or taste much of Cab Franc, pleasant but could be anything else. Has structure, body, nose, and fruit extracted profile. Way more jammy than a Cab Franc would be, especially from France.

Sourced from Turley's organic, dry-farmed Estate Vineyard, this wine (100% Sauvignon Blanc) was aged for approximately six months in neutral French oak barrels. Straw-colored and intensely aromatic, it offers a bouquet of white peaches, honeycrisp apples, pineapple, lemon verbena and a hint of freshly cut grass. Medium-bodied on the palate, it delivers flavors mirroring the aromas, adding notes of Mandarin oranges and wet stones. Vibrantly acidic, seamlessly alcoholic (13.4%) and with just the right amount of oak to add complexity and texture, it stays dense in the middle and concludes with a lengthy, energetic finish. This is a beautiful Sauvignon Blanc that checks all of the boxes. Enjoy it over the next 2-3 years. Enclosed with a Diam 10 cork. Drink now-2027.

1. Appearance
Clarity: Clear
Intensity: Medium
Color: Pale straw with lively, persistent bubbles that suggest a high-quality sparkling wine.

2. Nose
Condition: Clean
Intensity: Medium to high
Aroma/Bouquet:
Fruit: Ripe pear, white peach, and hints of apple
Flower: Acacia flowers and a touch of wisteria
Earth: Minimal earthiness, with a focus on fresh, clean notes
Mineral: Subtle mineral undertones, typical of the Cartizze terroir
Wood: No oak – the emphasis is on preserving the freshness and purity of the fruit

3. Palate
Sweetness: Off-dry, characteristic of Cartizze which tends to be slightly sweeter than other Prosecco
Acidity: High – crisp and refreshing, balancing the sweetness beautifully
Tannin: N/A – not applicable for this sparkling wine
Flavor Character:
Fruit: Fresh and vibrant, continuing with pear and peach, and perhaps a hint of melon
Flower: Floral notes enhance the elegance and add complexity
Earth: Almost none, maintaining a clean profile
Mineral: A clean mineral finish that echoes the nose, adding a refreshing quality
Wood: No wood influence, allowing the fruit and floral characters to dominate

Body/Alcohol: Medium-bodied, with moderate alcohol that supports the wine's structure without overpowering

Length: Medium to long, with a delightful finish that leaves a refreshing fruity and floral aftertaste

Conclusion

Quality with Respect to Price: Le Colture Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze is a premium Prosecco, offering elegance and complexity that reflect its prestigious Cartizze origins. It is priced accordingly, often considered worth the investment for those seeking a top-tier Prosecco.

Maturity with Respect to Ageing: Enjoy this wine young to make the most of its lively fruit and floral notes. Prosecco, especially from Cartizze, is not intended for long-term aging and is best enjoyed within 2-3 years of release.

Food and Wine Pairing: Superb as an aperitif or with light starters. Its slight sweetness and effervescence make it a perfect match for spicy Asian dishes, seafood, and creamy desserts.

Purity of fruit is the most pronounced idea here. Raspberry, dark cherry, wonderful line of acidity. The wine is so complex there were moments that I had to remind myself was pouring from he same bottle. It was at times New World and I thought Oregon, and an others firmly Burgundian. The depth of fruit seemed to shift every few minutes and the raspberry turned to cherry and at times strawberry turned up. I probably committed infanticide but it was truly a wonderful wine. I think there’s enough tannin to give this long life. Drink now or hold. You’ll likely enjoy either way.

This is a clear, light ruby colored wine. The flavors are very varietal with cherry and blackberry standing out. The body is medium and the balance is harmonious. This wine has varietal intensity with rounded tannins. In terms of pinot's the complexity is simple but true. Overall, this is a textbook California varietal Pinot Noir with a bit of Burgundian qualities.

Food friendly. But a wine that sets Napa in a direction I don’t want it to go. Back in time. Or maybe it’s me that live in the past? I guess Parker taught me Napa. And I was a good student.

A watermelon bomb.
7% Riesling blended with Syrah and Grenache. And that's all I have to say about that.

This is day 2. Arrival if apples, sources, bark. Palate w dinner mildly bitter grapefruit pith, tart apples, mild minerals. Broad texture with nice acids. Full body. Nice finish of grapefruit pith, apples, and spices. Vanilla butter spice on the very the very end. The spices are reminiscent of oak spices but I'm not sure how much new wood if any are used here. The spices and grapefruit pith flavors are the most prominent here which, as a combination, are not my favorite. Also, wine is pretty straightforward and Lacks dinner complexity. My first petit manseng as a single variety wine. Certainly interesting and a good learning experience.
