Drinking well right now and a ringer for aged Bordeaux. Mild funk, tobacco, spice and cassis. Good concentration on this wine and tannins have mellowed out. Medium finish and I would say drink up as I don't see it improving any more at this stage.

Average Cali Chardonnay with pear, apple, spice and oak. The palate features a bit too much oak for my liking and hides some of the fruit. Medium finish.

Too much oak is the problem here. Shows some spices, vanilla and apple but the oak interupts the wine. A bit too much money for the quality.

Nothing too exciting here but drinkable. Strawberry, spice and floral notes dominate. Medium finish.

Not as good as the 04 but really nice featuring spice, dust, cherry, leather and earth. Not a powerhouse wine but still has firm tannins. This should evolve over a decade but is drinking well right now. Decanted 2 plus hours.

It is hard to believe this is one of the top Minnesota wines actually grown in Minnesota. It had a paint thinner quality to it along with damp earth. Short finish. At $22 a bottle it is hard to believe anyone would buy these wines.

Solid effort but not as good as the 06 Merlot. Plum, spice, and cherry on the nose and taste and it has a medium finish.

Pear, lemon, oak, and minerals. The finish is medium and it picks up a buttery quality. A bit too much oak for me.

Another sub par score for a Justin wine. Floral and spice dominate this wine with a bit of cherry on the palate. It has a sweet taste which you would expect for a $8 Cali Cab.

This is a solid effort for under $10. Medium purple and a nose of smoke, plums and cherry. On the palate it picks up leather and earth. Also there is some sweet fruit. Medium finish and a crowd pleaser.

Mondavi is back in my opinion. The 2007 Napa Cab was really nice and the 06 Reserve has some long term potential. The Oakville was spot on for Napa Cab and features plum, cherry, mineral and oak. Good concentration and balance overall. This should evolve over the next five years. Well done!

Another great 06 Napa wine! Cherry, earth, blackberries and oak on the nose. Serious flavors on the mouth with a nice combo of fruit and earth. Long finish and firm tannins should allow this wine to age for a decade or more. 93+

This is declassified Cherry Block juice and it doesn't show. Cherry and minerals make up this light style wine. Not sure why the wine turned out below average for using upgraded juice. I liked the simple Sonoma Cabernet better.

Nice everyday Cab with cherry, plum and minerals. Medium finish and good QPR and better than the 06 Alexander Valley which is Cherry Block juice.

Not very good and featured spices and not enough fruit. I have not been impressed with Buehler and I had a 03 that was dead in the water recently and furnished with a synthetic cork.

Not nearly as good as 05. A clean wine with raspberries, violets and minerals. Medium finish but lacks the CDP character the 05 had.

A pleasant surprise among the boring Napa Cabernets at a recent tasting. Blackberries, cherry, and spice on the nose. The wine is balanced and not over extracted. Medium finish and drink now.

A terrible 07 wine. Spice, earth and a bit green. Tannic and not showing enough fruit. I would hope bottle variation but this wine was not corked.

What a great wine with cherry, plum, minerals and floral notes. Just fun to drink and while not complex as some Syrah wines it doesn't cost a fortune and at $15.95 worth buying half a case.

Typical Private Reserve. Never bad and never outstanding. Oak, vanilla, lemon and pear. Medium finish and of course the oak shines through a bit much.

One of my favorite Napa Chardonnays under $30. Apple, pear, spice and mild oak create an approachable Chardonnay to please the masses.

Not as good as past N.V. Piper's. Spice, yeast, orange peel and really creamy on the palate. Not as good acidity as I remember. I will pass on another bottle at $30.

This wine evolved over the course of the evening. Blueberries, spice box, vanilla and oak on the nose. The palate is concentrated and shows fruit and earth elements that are in harmony. Medium finish and this will evolve over the years. Drink again in five.

Nice wine but not as outstanding as some of the vintages and surely better than the 82 from Spectator. Earth, cherry, spices and leather dominate the nose and palate. The finish adds a buttery notes. Firm tannins and this wine will need some time in the cellar but I like what I see currently.
