I could not agree more than the notes of CT memeber WINE_POOBAH.

I echo those as if mine as I entirely agree with them. My score way..... way lower than his 98.

I typically avoid Special Club wines due to the bottle size. Somehow, I have two of these (in magnum racks).
I really wish I hadn't liked it so much. While it's barely entering a prime drinking window, it's already a very fine wine. Dense brioche intermixed with orange, lemon, yellow apple, apricot. Energetic and long. I loved it (but still won't buy SC bottles).

Normally these impress at the price point, but this bottle was not very interesting. First of this vintage I've opened, hope the others are better.

Ripe apple, lemon, and whipped cream aromas. Bright citrus zest and vanilla flavors with a tropical lime and coconut finish. Lightly toasty / yeasty. Very crisp acidity and excellent minerality. A lovely expression of Chardonnay.

Just starting to show some maturity. Drink or hold.

Very perfumed on the nose, crushed red fruits, cherry and spice. Very dull on the palate but still very smooth on the finish. Just wished the palate matched the nose. Hope remaining bottles drink better.

I do not know any other way to express this, but this wine tastes like it came from Heron Lake Vineyard. I have enjoyed numerous bottles of still Heron Lake Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Enfield Wine Co., and this sparkling wine tastes like Heron Lake Vineyard. There’s the lightly burnished lemon fruit, and the distinct saline note, but somehow it just smells and tastes the way a wine from Heron Lake smells and tastes. It’s also a fine sparkling wine, as it pleased both me my discerning wife with our favorite accompaniment, popcorn. I have one remaining bottle, and I will be looking for more.

These ladies are talented wine makers. Great bottle, though I prefer my bubbles younger.

Let's see what this does with a little ageing. Right now, it's primary, with black cherry fruit dominating, somewhat one dimensional, and on the tannic side for a pinot.

Ripe melon, lemons, vanilla and grass notes. Drank over 2 days and day 2 was better as this continued to open up. I also enjoyed day 2 more as I did not refrigerate, but kept it at 55 degrees and the warmer temp coaxed out more of the aromas. This will benefit from 2-3 more years of rest, but very good now.

Disgorged in 2021. Thin, oxidative, and even less liked at the 4x price paid (instead of a relatively well-priced Salon). 90

Smells pretty. Rick notes kinda lacking in character. And that kinda is it. But maybe it will blow up like their Chards at 7 or 8 years.

Fresh, enticing apple blossom aroma with notes of alcohol and yeast. Lovely apple and lemon flavor with secondary tropical fruit and vanilla notes. Salty, chalky finish. Well rounded and balanced. Very good.

This is drinking well now, with potential upside from here.

Chalky black fruit and alcohol aromas. Acidic blackberry, black currant, and chocolate flavors. Fairly acidic and tannic. Lively, interesting wine with good potential, but needs more time to integrate and soften.
