Saturday, November 26, 2022 - At five years of age, this one should have reached at least the beginning of the optimum age. The color has gained in depth, verging on deep straw with green tones. Classic nose of citrus and green apples with a sweeter tone reminiscent of pears at the front, some clear tones of sea and oysters at the back. Nice. Medium to full bodied attack. Fine tones of lemon, green apples, pear and hint of mint (!) on the mid-palate. Very good acidity to balance the fruity mouthfeel. The aftertaste is long and fruity, perhaps lacking a bit of the minerality I expect from this producer and vineyard. Probably caused by the vintage that is rumored to be on the "fruity" side. This wine is clearly very good, but lacks some of the intensity I expect from this producer and this vintage.
