Saturday, May 4, 2024 - Sour cherry and ripe raspberry fruit, partially confit in style. Also rhubarb top notes. Meaty and herbaceous base. Appealing spicy and floral (rose petals) overlays. Fresh, nicely intense and fruit-forward palate. Juicy with soft tannin that still have a pretty firm grip. Nice acidity, mid-palate presence and a smoky sour cherry finish. This is a complete wine with the Drouhin handwriting all over it. While good to go now, I would decant 1h at least or cellar for 3-5 years for peak performance.
