Friday, June 22, 2007 - House Cleaning; 6/21/2007-6/24/2007 (Home Sweet Home): Excellent bottle of aged Brunello. On opening, a meaty, leather nose that morphs over 30 minutes into a more perfumed, fruit filled rendition. On the palate, sweet fruit over a significant background of cigar box wood. Not as rich and deep as some (FBM's 1997 Tenimenti Angelini over 2007 New Year), but elegant, understated, and ready to drink.
