Friday, January 22, 2016 - Friday Afternoon; 1/22/2016-1/23/2016 (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Very dark red color. Decanted for roughly 20 minutes initially, then drank 2 glasses over 3 hours. se, showing a mix of fruits, starting off with blackcherry and plum, with hints of blackberry, gradually unfolding and becoming more red berry based with a light damp earthiness that really charms you. Subtle hints of mint late. Just a little green edge on the nose and palate which lends more character than distraction. The palate is tangy, medium bodied, at times the fruit impresses as plum and juicy, yet restrained enough, medium bodied, dark cherry, red berries, plum, pepper, long finish. Very nice and showing well as is.
