Likes this wine:

Friday, August 11, 2017 - Last of the summer sampler box of grower champagne roses we have been trying this summer. Quite a bright and deep pink color on this one and a bit of barnyard funk on the nose which I find quite uncommon in in champagne. The bubbles on this are on the lighter side and dissipate fairly quickly. On the palate this is enjoyable with some deeper tones to the fruit, it hits first with the lemony acidity but lingers a bit on the mid and back palate with red fruit. Quite nice - would be happy to drink again but probably have some better choices given the $70 price tag. My go to will remain the Chartogne Taillet at $49/bottle.
