Friday, August 24, 2018 - This is why I cellar wine.
Opened and poured out an ounce, and left the bottle open to "slow-ox." Tasted about 2 hours later.
Ruby-red brick color. Nose offers some spice and red clay along with plum and fresh tobacco.
Beautiful and elegant, with ripe plum, some mushroom notes, and that touch of spice. Everything is in balance and the wine shows levels of depth, with some mushroom notes, fresh tobacco, a hint of lead pencil, and chocolate.
Delicious.
