Monday, March 18, 2019 - PhD Week in Virginia; 3/16/2019-3/22/2019 (Virginia): Light gold color. Picked this up locally in Williamsburg, a painful retail purchase after buying these from my usual source at a far, far better price. But, we needed another good bottle. Brought this to my son's PhD after party at his advisor's home. Shared with a large group of Physics professors and grad students which was pretty darn fun. We toasted Scott's new PhD and this was an apt accompaniment for out toasts. While technically this is young, it really feels ready and was very expressive. Classic Dom really, lemon, toasty, deep and layered, great mousse, excellent length, and a floral top note. This will be a bottle I will remember for what it was and the special significance of the moment.
