Sunday, April 11, 2021 - In reading the bottle etching code, this is 2013 base, disgorged 09/2016, and I am pretty sure this is made with 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Blanc, 2 grams of dosage. Opened yesterday, just a tiny bit of CO2 is left making this a still wine today. Peachy/amber in color. I was underwhelmed with this yesterday, as it seemed to lack complexity. Today, about the same, with some licorice, strawberry and a bitter-like note into the finish, perhaps the licorice I am trying to convey. The aromatics convey a freshness that I like, but I don't care for the bitterness and some of the weight that seems to be here. I'm a committed L-B fan, and I have lots of the cuvees in my cellar, but for the $72 I paid for this, I'd rather spend that on Terre de Vertus or Longitude, honestly.
