Community Tasting Note

Thursday, September 16, 2021 - Dark ruby purple color turning violet at the rim with a reflective edge. The nose gives off very ripe, smoky dark fruits with red floral notes on a high octane whiff. The palate is copious, full-bodied, velvety and round on the palate. There’s a little bit of heat but bordering on negligible. And there’s medium acidity that tips the balance to favor the ripe blueberry, blackberry, raspberry compote and plum. A solid mid palate leads to secondary flavors of vanilla on toasted oak and finishes long with a hint of spice. Very delicious and quite easy to drink now with a 1-hr decant until 2039.
