Nice wine, but definitely needs decanting. Took a good half-hour or so to open up in the glass - but was very decent thereafter. Medium tannins. Had I seen the extensive CE window ahead of time, I'm might have given it a bit more time. But perfectly decent now!

Very much a brassy Barossa Shiraz, but all that bid, brushing dark fruit has some restraint and offers spice and aerate notes to round out the package.

Deep ruby in color. Notes of dark cherry, plum, cocoa, and potting soil. Nicely balanced tannins and acidity. Very nicely put together; not the one-dimensional fruit bomb I often associate with Shiraz.

Ripe and juicy and ready to go at the open. It didn't change much over the course of three days. Good depth of primary fruit nicely balanced. This deserves the WS accolades. I'll look for the '20 vintage.

Rich, ripe plum and cherry. A little cocoa and light spice. Nice long finish. Not a fruit bomb, but definitely in that ripe fruit forward style. There’s enough tannins backing the ripeness. If you don’t like that style, this is not for you.
dark and inky appearance, smells deeply purple and spicey, full bodied, expansive, gutsy, attacks the palate with blue and black fruit, then overflows with ripe plum, cocoa and spice flavors, nice expression, will round out in a few years
Opaque, aromas of tea, chocolate, orange zest, and tastes of dark fruit, chocolate covered cherries, velvety smooth plum, blackberry, black cherry, and black smokiness. Super long finish. Rich, harmonious, well integrated. A very well made wine.

dark red, purple rim - beautiful nose of rich black fruit: blackberry, black cherry, black plumbs - some Asian spice and chocolate, but not that many complex aromas at this point - beautiful mouth feel, with great balance of fruit, tannin and acidity - long 15-25 second finish - a great Aussie shiraz for current drinking - it has the structure to last for another decade, at least, but it is so good now that I doubt I'll have any bottles left by then
Overall: Takes the richer side of the ledger, but keeps good drive throughout, and the tannins on the finish are a welcome touch. Layered and complex, with beautiful touches in the complex mix of flavor. Very strong overall. Drink now - 2036.
Dark ruby purple color turning violet at the rim with a reflective edge. The nose gives off very ripe, smoky dark fruits with red floral notes on a high octane whiff. The palate is copious, full-bodied, velvety and round on the palate. There’s a little bit of heat but bordering on negligible. And there’s medium acidity that tips the balance to favor the ripe blueberry, blackberry, raspberry compote and plum. A solid mid palate leads to secondary flavors of vanilla on toasted oak and finishes long with a hint of spice. Very delicious and quite easy to drink now with a 1-hr decant until 2039.
This was a recent purchase from local wine store. I should have let it sit for a few days instead of rushing to try it. It was OK, but should have been better, and I believe some of the higher ratings assigned by other cellartracker.com reviewers more accurately reflect where this wine is going to end up. Also, it improved as the evening developed.
Nose: Lavender, cast iron, asian five spice. Muted.
Supple, dense notes of steeped blackberry, black cherry, and acai have full reign throughout the mouth: cruising through with authority as cherry pit, earl grey, asian five spice and bitter chocolate fill in around. Not huge in body, but mouth filling in flavor, leaving a resinous, teeth staining coating in leaving. Chewy tannins swell at the end, keeping everything from becoming cloying. Excellent length in all.

Great example of a full flavoursome Aussie Shiraz - smooth, long and chewy, refined oak, red plum, vanilla and cigar box. Love this wine and can't wait to taste it with some age on it.

Real Review - Top Wineries of Australia (Campbell's store, Circular Quay West, The Rocks, Sydney): Very slightly reductive. A little sour note to the fruit; red currant over blackberry, spice. Juicy, alcohol warmth, chalky drying tannins. Nah.

Seems overripe to me. Not my style. Maybe it just needs a ton of time, but I doubt it.

Solid, intense, dark fruited, lifted with judicious oak.
Needs a chunk of time and should look wonderful with age.
