Friday, January 18, 2013 - Pop and poured and served blind with three other Pinots. All four wines were placed in brown paper bags (the bottles, not the wine) and labelled with the names of active volcanoes. This was Mount St. Helens, if I recall. This shows an earthy an thin side with a fair amount of acidity and tartness but paired well with cheese (Vermont creamy goat cheese and cheddar in particular). It did not fare well against the 2010 Sojourn Wohler, with its fruit and sweetness, but stood well as a wine to be paired with food.
