Saturday, September 7, 2013 - Saturday Night Double Blind, $40+ (Bin 75): Bright dull ruby; pretty nose of roses and candied red fruit; sweet red fruit with a great underpinning of minerality, structure coming together (needed more airtime), sexy yet taut, sour cherry, plush with a hint of the new oak on the finish; really tasty; 92-93.

I'm jealous you got some. Being more on the hedonistic side now the candied fruit and oak should tone down with more age. The balance makes this a great candidate to age gracefully for probably as long as you'd like to cellar it. Keep me posted on it.

1/16/2014 3:02:00 PM - Thanks for your thoughts. I will keep you posted. I also grabbed a bottle of the Angerville Taillepieds. Based on notes from CT users and professionals, it sounds like the Taillepieds needs more time and cannot be consumed young as pleasantly as the Champans.
