Thursday, July 29, 2021 - Brought to drink at Oinoscent during afternoon service.
The wine was decanted for an hour.
The wine shows fully evolved colour.
The wine shows medium intensity, evolved character, sweet spices, sweet notes overall, oaky, earthy, forrest floor, savoury grilled meat notes and dried red cherries.
The wine follows the same pattern in the palate, toast, gamey, savoury, dried red fruits, light oak, alcohol heat (15%), almost dissolved tannins, oregano, coffee beans and chocolate flavoured decadent long finish.
At its peak and of outstanding quality. A great example of mature Chateauneuf du Pape
