Thursday, June 1, 2017 - Alfresco dinner w old wines and young - Princeton Wine Crew and special guest Jamie Leahy of Marston Vineyards (Chez Walker - Princeton, NJ): Last of the Bdx for the evening, this one contributed by Jamie. Slow-oxed for about 2 hours before drinking. My first experience with this wine.

Inky purple color. Nose showed dark fruits, olive, truffles...Smooth palate of dark cherry, cassis, herbs, charcoal. Secondary notes of olives, licorice. Texture was really smooth - I think this was 80% Merlot... Full bodied and rich bdx. Long and layered finish.

This is in a good spot now, though still showing more primary characteristics, guessing this will continue to evolve in the bottle for some time. Would be good to check in on this again in a few years
