Sunday, January 16, 2011 - Spanish Tasting at John's (Minneapolis): Purple color. 2 hour decant. Nose is floral with lavendar notes, herbs, blackberry, black cherry, mineral, cedar, spice. The palate is deeply concentrated with layers of fruit, spice, leather, oak. tannins are prominent but not aggressive. long finish. Second time with this wine, both were outstanding. The bottle had an odd quality initially on the nose before decanting and aerating. It was gone after about 30 minutes. This wine is still quite young and requires at least 2-3 hours of decant time in my opinion. My and group WOTN, 94pts
