Thursday, November 14, 2019 - Today, the day WS awarded this the #3 woty, we opened our first two bottles of a case bought last June. In sum, the balance and quality of fruit stand out— and with time a beautiful hollow iron note emerges— but this is still quite young and tannic. Decant 2-3 hours if opening today; ideally wait until 2022-

It is impossible to objectively score something on the day it received a high-profile #3woty and 95 points. Note CT gives this an 89.8 right now. Let’s see how that changes. What if we all started exclusively rating blind.

And good qpr. I also would say 92 points. That is the maximum a Chianti Classico can get in my opinion.
But who cares. It is a great wine for about 21€. One
of my favorite wines that I will buy again and again.
