Sunday, February 18, 2024 - The most remarkable aspect of this wine is its weightlessness, paired with an exceptional balance and elegance. It’s hard to imagine a Barolo finer than this. However, it may not be the ideal time to uncork this, as the fruit flavors are currently subdued, likely requiring a few more years in the cellar to fully re-emerge. Despite this, the wine presented a beautiful complexity, with a core rich in minerality, complemented by layers of violets, red berries, smoke, and herbal undertones.
Decanting: I would give it at least 3-4 hours in the decanter. It improved with every minute of air.
