Medium plus intensity acidity, splash of ripe black fruit, chewy grape and wood tannins are drying but the fruit persists, quite concentrated. A sharp contrast to the SP68 - clean, well made, perhaps a little dull? but nothing wrong here. I'm guessing about 3 decades under screwcap will lend some complexity if it doesn't dry out.

Their blurb reads well but at £37 I think it is overpriced, and your note, while generally positive, has a stinger in its tail about "decades" to reveal more complexity. Lol.

Lovely to hear from you. Yup, it's a nice wine but, if you want anything other than the primary and secondary characteristics, it's going to take quite a while to get there under screwcap :-D

    cheers and stay well,

    David
