Sunday, February 25, 2018 - A 750cl bottle from Paul (who likes this so much he’s bought a second case). Dark for a Suduiraut. Strong botrytis hazelnut nose which fades and leaves candied orange peel with a welcome touch of bitterness. Complex palate includes apricot. Good acidity and length of finish. Bigger and darker than usual I would have guessed Rieussec if served blind. Still a lovely slightly underrated wine which will age for decades. The ‘83 was excellent last year.
