Saturday, February 10, 2024 - Super-Tuscans, once among the world’s most sought-after wines, have fallen out of fashion recently. I’d pretty much stopped drinking ST some years ago, probably for the same reasons as everyone else – they were $$ & confusing, generic if you will.

Now, if you have not enjoyed an ‘-aia’ wine, this one would be a good introduction to these bad boys of Tuscany.

With big brother Oreno in the background, I really like the alluring flavors of fleshy plums, tender berries, dark cherries, delicate spice, & licorice.

The palate is full-bodied, with intense tannins, balanced acids, & a long, engaging finish. This wine will only get better as these vines age…Sucking, you were right!
