90 Points

Tuesday, October 30, 2012 - Holed Up Vs. Hurricane Sandy; 10/30/2012-10/31/2012: The bottle had been open for nearly 48 hours by the time I tasted it, and I'm glad because this wine is still very young. Aromas of plums, cassis, loam, pencil lead and roses. The palate shows pure plum fruit, grainy tannins and medium acid. Lots of pencil shavings, graphite and tar. Quite delicious, but clearly still a young Pauillac. Some classic structure and flavors, and I'd like to try it again in a decade.
