Wednesday, March 13, 2013 - Monthly Tasting Group HWS #077; Round the Corton hill in Burgundy (By BD): Carmine red brown. The bouquet is a bit rusty and spicy. On the palate juicy red fruits like strawberries. Ok acidity and silky soft, completely melted tannin. No extremely complex but certainly a very, very pleasant easy going Burgundy. I am a bit surprised about the drinking window in CT, because, although no real hurry, this bottle was completely ready.
