Tuesday, May 1, 2012 - Upon opening I was greeted with an earthy odor. The wine was medium red in color. I used a Venturi for aeration and drank immediately. It had flavors of cherry and cassis and was smoother than many chianti's. It was not as acidiac as I usually encounter with Italian reds. A great bottle and I have 4 more!
