Monday, July 7, 2014 - Decanted over two hours and drank over another hour. Deep ruby color, blackish at the core. Nose of cassis, dark red berries, sweet tobacco and graphite. Smooth entry on the palate, some austerity mid palate with leather, cassis and graphite dominating, excellent balance and acidity, medium to full bodied, and a good finish with tannins mostly integrated under the wine's structure. As always a pleasure to drink this wine.
