Friday, January 9, 2015 - Lovely wine. Decanted and aerated for about an hour and drank over two. Rich crimson red, slight signs of evolution, great nose of blackberries, liquorice, sweet tobacco, spice cake. Velvety entry on the palate, nice acidity and backbone mid palate with dense luscious black fruits, good balance and structure, medium to full bodied, and a decent finish with very fine and increasingly integrating tannins. Can only get better with time. A year or two away from full maturity.
