Wednesday, September 14, 2011 - "Non-Baller" Wines, Take 6 (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): i wasn't as impressed with this wine as some other people at the tasting. the nose smells really stinky. i remarked that it smelled like someone lit a port-a-potty on fire. the palate is light and fresh with some good cranberry and mushroom flavors. after a while the nose settled down. still a good wine.

9/14/2017 3:25:00 PM - If a wine has recently been dosed with sulfur, it will have that stinky aroma. Yet this does not make it a bad wine. The sulfur prevents bacteria from growing and acts as a necessary preservative. Over time, it gets fully absorbed. So, your TN was unfair to the wine....
