Tasted a bit off, either that or it was an over-ripe, unctious PN beyond its window. The score reflects the latter (wishful thinking). Either way not a refined offering.

Really surprising evolution: super exciting like a desert cactus poke out of the gate, then disappointing soon thereafter on the first night. So much so that we corked (and inert gassed) it. four nights later, wow! Fruit still exciting but more comnplex. Deep but lively with dark espresso notes.

I was worried that this would be over the hil. It was not. A fine RRV pinot with classic cherry cola flavors, wonderful perfume, and nice finish. Excellent with salmon...

High toned acids from start to finish, spicy and mostly dense fruits underneath make for a sensational palette. This seems like it could age for several more years as the acids calm down.

nice RRV pinot. Red fruits dominate with a bit of spice. Good balance with a lingering finish. A bit too much heat or the score would have been higher.

Darker in color then a lot of other RRV pinots with very ripe dark cherry flavors throughout. Strong oak presence as well. The fruit almost approaches a syrupy sweetness that would put this over the top and not in a real good way. It's well made but it gets close to the line of being out of balance.

Great nose of raspberry and clove, but the mouthfeel veers into riper, darker notes of black cherry with chocolately oak. Slightly hot on the finish which lowers the score a bit. Well made overall.

Lots of cherry fruit at first, then some oak and tannin. Pretty simple fruity thing when I first opened it, but added some nice complexity after an hour or so. Complemented pomegranate duck curry very well. Didn't notice the heat I half expected with the high alcohol content.

Wow, this wine scores between 85 and 95! Kutch-- could you have had a bad bottle? This to me is a classic RRV pinot-- lots of cherry, great nose, nice finish.

It's the next morning, so I don't remember all of the tasting notes. Very seductive. Great structure. The wine almost had two tastes to it with a rich (but not bold) body and the aromatic covering around it.

Its all I remembered it was. Fantastic rich black cherry flavors, if that's one dimensional sign me up. The finish did have some tannins at first but they resolved as the bottle dwindled. There is no way my last two bottles will make it to 2010.

Sweet one dimensional cherry flavor, with strong cough syrup taste. Back end has a subtle tasty tannic finsh. Best with a tart food taste, worked best with a duck with ligonberries. Out of balance sweetness with other more delicate meats, normally the staple diet of pinot noir.

Just did not hold up well with slight bubbly characteristics. This is consistent with my other notes. Did not finish bottle.

Although excellent, not as awesome as the last bottle. I worry that it might be a little past.

PP makes great pinots. Black cherry, strong fruit, long--smooth finish. Hard to beat.

William Selyem Offshoot tasting, An Alcohol Tasting, and 1843 Madiera: 14.25% Alc. Hot heat with deep notes of syrup and sweetness. An overall unsound balance.

This was amazing. Sweet black cherry and raspberry that went on forever. I love pinot and this ranks as one of the best I have ever had.
