Solid American Rose. I normally don't drink anything but French Rose.......because they always get it right. However, this was a lovely Rose with crisp acidity and fruity (light) flavors. Ended up drinking the whole bottle with and after dinner.

Wonderful fruit nose. On first encounter, the crisp acidic startles the tongue. Then it develops into a sensual wash of berries and melon. A drier rose than most; I love this wine.

1ST ANNUAL ROSE MADNESS DAY! LAST PLACE! - I've had this two other times and it was great. Weird to have a bottle of screwcap, young Rose that's corked, but this one was stinky. All tastings were double-blind, and we all noted that this was flawed.
The order of the winners/losers in best-to-worst order was: 2010 SQN 2010 Zenaida 2011 Barrel 27 2010 L'Aventure Estate 2010 Tablas Creek (flawed)

Last bottle of this vintage of Rosie from 2 cases and I'm gonna miss her. Harmonious and deep. Juicy and delicious strawberry/watermelon/pink grapefruit fruit profile with a bit of pink bubble gum and mouthwatering minerality and bright acids. So fresh, lively, and long... utterly fantastic. 93 pts seems low as this is the best rosé I've ever had... 96-98+ if scoring strictly within its type. Gotta get more
Note: we drank this with company on a night where we had an 1985 Rausan-Segla, 2004 L'Aventure Syrah Ma Vigne au Soleil, 1990 Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey, and a 2011 Kinero Grenache Blanc. Even amongst that group this rosé was a stunner. Mt WOTN, if you can believe that!

The nose on this wine is crisp and zesty, with sweet strawberry fruit coupled with watermelon rind and an upfront mouthwatering spiciness. In the mouth, this rose really sings, as it is much fleshier than one would expect. The spice really cuts through the red fruits, giving this wine a liveliness that can pair well with flavorful foods, as well as quaffing on it's own on the back porch during an 80 degree mid-March day. Enjoyed this big rose with barbequed chicken and pork ribs. It held up nicely, due to the gorgeous acidity and medium-bodied mouthfeel. I can just keep drinking glass after glass of this wine, I soooo enjoy it, and I smile with each sip. Lovely effort by Tablas Creek.

--- COLOR: Don't remember exactly, but it was a nice deep red/pink. NOTE: Ruthie gave us this bottle and we opened it at Pitfire. This too needed to reach about 50 degrees before it opened up a bit. The nose was loads of raspberries, watermelon, maybe a little pomagranate. Mouth was just lovely and quite tannic for a Rose. It cut through the creaminess of the pizzas and made for a terrific food wine. Lots of Mourvedre in there which seems to give it so much character. Great finish. Ruthie was right, this is as good as L'Aventure or Donelan and is about the same QPR. Better than most anything else I've had from this producer and I've been drinking their wines for years.

Paired with grilled salmon and served along side 2 other rose's, an '09 Rol Valentine and a '10 Epoch. Brilliant magenta with pillow soft aromas of watermelon, strawberries, and vanilla cream. The palate mirrors the nose with some orange/tangerine thrown in. Soft but penetrating flavors, racy acids that keeps things snappy, and tons of creamy minerality. Out of a group of 4 of us, concensus was that this was clearly the best rose' of the night. With or without food, this stuff just kicks a$$.

Clear, bubble gum ruby and lite in the glass. BBQ, strawberry and brett on the nose. Medium body with bubble gum and grapefruit on the palate. Secondary red fruit. Tart and off-dry with fantastic mouthfeel. Solid structure. Short finish. Screams for stinky cheese.

An unusual dry rose. The color is a bright clear scarlet, nose of watermelon and strawberry with similar flavors but with a mineral quality that is hard to pin down. Different, good in it's own right, but do not underestimate the complexity of this wine.

This is an autumn rose. Thick, heavy, imposing. Not the Province kind of rose. More like a Rhone Rose in style. Didn't dislike it and it's well made but it's not my favorite style of rose.

Outstanding - same as the bazillion other bottles of this I've had. I just love that creamy minerality that shows up on the mid palate and finish and those racy acids are mouth watering. I like and drink rose's and this 2010 is consistantly the best rose' I've ever had.

My God, I'm just tearing thru this stuff! I've definitely got a problem here. That watermelon cotton candy flavor with a touch of pink grapefruit and Tropicana coupled with it's fleshy nature and racy acids make me powerless to its charms. Maybe if they’d stop selling fresh wild Alaskan sockeye salmon for $8/lb I could drink some Bordeaux and get on with my life!
My remaining bottles must tremble with fear every time the cellar door opens.

Consumed outside with munchies at the Festival Mosaic Mandolin Quartet concert. I've said it all before but this rose' was once again excellent. Candied strawberry flavors, without being too sweet, with some pink grapefruit appearing on the mid palate and that mouth filling creamy minerality throughout. Off dry and refreshing with good length. "A Whole Lotta Rosie"

Worked equally well as a quaffer while playing bocce (despite the 14.5% abv) as it did with the asian grilled salmon. Fruity, creamy minerality, off dry finish. Delicious! Loved by all - we went thru 3 bottles in no time flat.

Stunning color in the glass, almost fluorescent. I believe the reviews but this bottle was different. Mineral and strong guava on the nose. The palate is rich and sweet for a brief, very brief, moment of strawberry, just before the stream of acidity kicks in and turns it to guava and a dollop of mineral. Big and round on the midpalate. The balance is great and just after midpalate you can sense that the acidity and fruit are barely fending off the alcohol, it's not there but it's close, usually where I find roses fall on their face. There is structure here and the finish is moderate with red berry. In context outstanding, but only this style. Best domestic rose I've had.

Color of deep translucent strawberry, darker than the typical rosé. Nose is giving up fresh cut watermelon, but seriously, I'm not drinking a rosé to swirl and ponder, or deconstruct the aromas. Nice and light on the palate, with juicy acidity accompanying strawberry/watermelon and a great floral finish that goes on and on. Refreshing drink on a hot day, with enough complexity to keep it interesting, which is what I want from a rosé. My favorite of the year (so far).

Purchased at winery. The wife & I took a seat at one of their tables on the patio, opened it and had a glass each. Just as exciting as previous bottles - this thing's racy and delicious. Dark, almost a reddish violet color. Tinnish and minerally at first on both the bouquet and the palate. It opened up with a little air into opulent floral and fruit notes throughout. A refreshing and enjoyable rosé that also brings some intrigue.

From the winemaker: Cranberry in color, with an explosive nose of red chile jam, watermelon, plum, mineral and spice. The mouth is bright with flavors of watermelon and tart cherry. The sweetness of the fruit is chased quickly by bright acids and a long, deep finish with echoes of lime and tangerine. Drink now through the end of 2012.
