Pale to medium gold color. Fairly feint aromas of green apples, white flowers and honey on the nose. Medium body, crisp acidity. There's peach, apple, honey, citrus and tart acidity at the back end. The wine is sweet but not at what one would expect at the Auslese level. Moreover, not nearly as unctuous as I recall, and overall thinner and more crisp than last tasted. Still enjoyable, if a different experience.

More pleasant and drinkable/enjoyable than my score would suggest. Lacks sufficient acidity but is still not cloying as the sweetness has dried out a lot with bottle age and the overall weight of the wine is on the light side. Great now as an aperitif, but I wouldn't count on this to "hold up" to Asian food (maybe seafood?). A little one-dimensional -- lacking in character and complexity....but otherwise fully functional wine.

{375ml, cork, 7.5%, AP 54 03} And another disappointment with this wine. Medium-dry apple-ish flavours are still overwhelmed by a brown staleness; it’s light-medium bodied and just manages a medium-length finish, but it’s just too oxidised to be very interesting. Hadn’t obviously leaked at all; the cork looked sound, but if this is typical (as it has been for me) this is a wine fading fast. My last bottle, thankfully.

from 375mL. Solid yellow. Shy aromas of candied apples; a slightly anonymous character to the white-fruit flavours; acid is settled; light-medium body, finishes about off-dry. Rather one-dimensional; pleasant but not memorable, and certainly not worth the price. Can't see improvement left here, either.

popped one for dessert -this time it was a little tight and slightly austere -nice wet slate dominate aromatics and there is quite a pronounced acidity here. This benefited tremendously from an overnight in fridge on nitro -the next evening it was noticeably richer & more complex with a rounder mouth feel and some nice texture to balance the citrus concentration. Age, or make sure to give it a solid decant for maximum enjoyment.

Aromatically more intense than last few bottles and this has also put on some flavor intensity-great combination of mineral and spice. With it's (relatively ) dry disposition I am not sure if this will improve dramatically but it's showing quite nicely right now.

Not very sweet for auslese. A bit more shy on the aromatics than last year but the structure & complexity of the finish come through nicely. Elegant acidity cleans the palate -an easy drinker give it few more years to put on some weight -tasted from split

WSET Advanced Cert3 - course wines (Fine Wine Partners, Sydney): AP 54 03 {375ml, cork, 7.5%, A$50} Lemon-green colour. Youthful, slightly sulphury nose of peach, honey, spice & flowers. Medium-sweet palate of honey, apple & cinnamon flavours. Seductive. Acid and extract too. Long finish – a bit one-dimensional at this age. Should pick up with more time.

UltimoWineCentre - German wine dinner: Loosen’s wine is a bit appley – I don’t find much spice here at this stage. The sweetness in this wine seems to be fruity rather than sugary and gives the wine a weighty persistence. Trusting that sugar and acid will grow into a wondrous thing I guess…

Drank with sushi. Very pleasant, full bodied, light gold color, apples, peach, ripe sweet fruit. Good length. Drinking nicely

Nice, light colored, sweet but not complex. Would probably benefit from much more time in the bottle.

Enjoyable peach, touch of kerosene, fruit dominates acidity... Not flabby, but lacks refreshing sense.

Pale yellow with slight kerosene, stewed apple and a touch of lemon. Palate sweet with candied melon but bit flabby and short.

Colour of a urine sample. Pock-marked-looking cork with streakiness up the side. Sure enough, oxidised. Thanks, portugal. Second bottle opened...
