Absolutely singing. Acid is still there as is fruit with underlying brambles, bacon, and herbs. Our best bottle of wine this year I think. Paired exquisitely with grilled pork chops, pears with basalmic fig reduction topped with parmesan

Christmas dinner wine - great Syrah with bone in pork loin roast. Good funk and undertones of berries (blackberries). Also sensed some of that Columbia Valley earth too.

Washington State Fruit funk [that tabacco meets cabbage the aka washington pH levels etc etc goodness] , with nice floral notes, high acid, med+ tannin so silky, a fantastic wine balanced with great fruit and earth and funk

Different from most WA syrahs in that it had very strong acidity. Many labels claim inspiration from old world wines, but few deliver on true acidity. This wine makes no claims but delivers anyway.

Decanted and consumed over 3 hours. Dark purple, violet hue with minimal light transmission. No detectable sediment. Initially the nose was a bit young and vegetal, but improved after the first hour of decanting. Smells of blackberries, maturing red cherries, and pepper. The midpalate was average, had more flavors of dark berries and could have been fuller. The finish evolved to a moderate length and ended with a peppery (slightly tannic) bite. This is a nice Washington state 100% Syrah that is still young. It should improve and I wouldn't drink another bottle of this vintage for atleast two more years. It is also a great value wine at $30 a bottle.

Still very tight. Took 2+ hours to finally open up. Will sit on next bottle until 2015

Nice nose of bacon fat, blackberry. Palate is medium with a bit rough finish. Hold the other bottels for another 2 years.

Took awhile to open up. Had very complex flavors after that though.
