My first time tasting this legendary producer and I was impressed. Cork looked scary moldy from the top but was actually intact. The balance in this wine is what striked me the most. Fruit, minerality, acid, fat, volume and a subtle touch of reduction were all in harmony. This, to me, was exactly what I expect from this grape. It has charisma and confidence, yet takes over the room with humility. A perfect Chardonnay with pure class.

Solid effort here. Classic Coche nose of apples, minerals, some citrus, spices and lees. Absolutely zero premox from this warm vintage. Light yellow color. Good energy and verve. This is a great BB.

Beautiful. Cork was almost soaked through and earlier bottles had fairly funky looking corks but the wine has been consistently good. Amazing mouth coating, rich nose tingling mature burgundy. This is something else for a Bourgogne level wine.

This is a solid effort. Still relatively light yellow in color. For a warm vintage this retains good acidity and structure. Lemon, lemon peel, orchard fruit, lees. Good complexity for a BB and a moderately long finish. I consider Roulot the master of BB and his 14 is the best out there. This is very good but not quite at that level.

Light straw in colour. Reductive style, but a touch more sophisticated than the Boisson vadot I've been drinking. Nose has a chalkiness, something like brioche. Touch of sweetness on the palate. Great minerality. Good persistency.
Became a lot more expressive as the wine warmed up in the glass.
I have minimal experience with Coche. This was a good intro.

PnP and tasted blind. Pale straw colour. The wine initially showed as quite ripe and a little exotic - notes of apricot alongside lemon with decent balancing minerality. The identity seemed a bit surprising when revealed as the wine appeared to lack the delineation and certainly the more classic Coche profile. Coming back to the wine two hours later the ripeness (of the vintage presumably) was still there but the delineation and balance were improved significantly. Seemingly not ready yet but perhaps also not the best vintage for this wine. ***(+)

Still an excellent white, even better than the 2010 version of this wine. Slightly more forward and less acidic, but slightly bigger with more minerals.

To make it simple: the modest version of the family's meursault and with 'modest' I mean that this wine was also in a perfect balance with a ripe citrus backbone, light on its feet and with a noticable aftertaste. If this wine, together with the aligoté, is modest, than it is, but completely in the style of its aristocratic family.

Fresh lemony nose with stone fruit. Slightly more fruit forward than usual but still got very good balance and acidity. Lots of mineral at the end like their Meursault. Very good for earlier drinking.

Nose of freshly cut grass, grany smith, hint of citrus... taste is very citrus with a hint of mineral, filling the mouth with the fat of ripe yellow apples, good lenght, very tensed, sappy, hint of smoke in retroolfaction

A nice wine but definitely not over performing, for this vintage any way. Was blown away by other vintages of Coche generic but not this one. A bit simple but the trademark house style does provide a glimpse without the concentration of what to expect a bit further up the tree. If you want to be blown away at this level I suggest the 07 Leflaive Bourgogne blanc at a fraction of the price.

Quite a serious wine for its level, and thoroughly enjoyable. Has the plush profile of '09, but held in check with great acidity. Initially quite tight, lemon and cream, some gunflint with air. If only all producers could have an entry level wine show this well.

France 2012 - Côte d'Or; 7/16/2012-7/21/2012 (Beaune): Drank at Caveau des Arches in Beaune. This was more Cote de Beaune-like than the Aligote with citrus, hints of wood, gunflint and red apple notes. Slightly fuller on the palate with richer yellow and citrus fruits. Not as linear or focused as the Aligote and this has a touch less acidity. At this stage, I prefer the nose here, as it’s more expressive with a touch more complexity and shows typicity, but I prefer the palate on the Aligote with its acid and mineral streak. Both are excellent and should improve over 3-5 years no problem. Excellent. 90+

Frisk, lys og fersk, floral nese av lime og med hint av stikkelsbær og hvite blomster. Saftig og bløt frukt. Frisk og med fin fylde. Relativt fersk. Sitter godt. Fin lengde.

This shows itself way above its station... I can't imagine there are many other Bourgognes this good! Perfectly mature right now, this has a very enticing lemon-lime tartness balanced nicely by white fruits and medium density. Very enjoyable for a Bourgogne.

Tart green fruit nose with gooseberry, lime curd and underripe banana, whitepepper, cream and "guthka". Fullbodied and fruity, slightly oily, palate with good structure to back up the emerging fruit. Some toffee, cappucino and smoke. Hints of dairy and pepper. Long. Promising and rather serious for its appellation.

PNP at Kuki’o. A bit of apple, fennel spice and citrus on the nose. Ripe palate, tropical flavors and a deep yet lively and acidic texture.
