Raspberry, sour cherry, tea, herbs with a bit or earth. Has improved since last bottle on 10/2013. Very much in balance as the alcohol has tamed down. Still appears and tastes young. Very nice Oregon Pinot.

This has certainly improved since my last bottle in july 2013. Bright cherry color, translucent and shiny. Raspberries, pomegranate and cherry notes ending with green pepper earthy notes on the nose. On the palate this feels fruity and young, bigger than what it looks like, and with rounded chewy tannins. Good acidity. Finish is a bit hot which is the sole distracting note. Is evolving nicely, i hope the alcohol mellows.

My wife took this on a weekend outing with her mom and sister. When asked how it was, the reply was: ok, nothing special, a little hot on the finish. 88pts. Sounds about right.

Opened and ran through Vinturi. Bit hot on palate to start but settled in the glass over the hour. Sour cherry and red raspberry with some black tea. Tannins were mild. Very nice wine for $20 and will wait on next two for a couple of years.

Pop, pour and let air for 1 hour. Spicy, tart hot raspberry, rhubarb. Disjointed and too much alcohol comes through.
Day 2: the alcohol and heat calms down but it is still there for an initial bite on the palate. At least some black pepper, Asian spice and soy sauce come through.
I think this could easily use another 1 1/2 - 2 years in the cellar.

Medium bodied, fruit forward PN with concentrated raspberry overtones and a complex, spicy finish. Much better than expected, and an excellent value. Very impressive on opening. Held up well after four days in the wine cooler but did not improve.

the nose is jammy, soft, spice infused flavors of blackberries, plums, flowers and herbs, enjoyable with forward-fruit, had with pork chops and mushroom sauce

Medium red color. Aerated into glass on day one and drank 1 glass. Revisited on day 2 and 3. This really shows some nice evolution over 48 hours. On day one it is a bit sharp and lean. But after 24 and especially 48 hours, this really shows some nice depth. Nose shows cherry, berry, dried earth, vanilla, spice. The palate at 24 and 48 hours shows rich red fruits with dark cherry, red berries, spice, some earth and sous bois with a very silky texture and medium length. Some heat noted on opening, but it integrated. Given the evolution here, this probably deserves the opportunity to get some more age, but I don't think mine will last that long :). 90(+)pts.

Shows great after Lizze's. Shocking. I have not had as good an experience with this wine as I am having now. Hmm... crazy. What is going on here... And at $25. Hmm...

I was disapointed with this wine tonight. Not expressive at all, some melted semi burned caramel/melaza notes upfront with a bit of a tart finish. Got better with time but not a good QPR. I have 4, more hope this gets better with time. Oregon 09 pinots are letting me down.

Medium red color. Pnp, drank 2+ glasses over 1.5 hrs. No detailed notes. Started off a little slow. Needs some air, but evolves pretty well. Lighter medium body with cherry and some berry.

Ruby with medium viscosity in the glass. Cherry, cinnamon, strawberry pie, kirsch, vanilla and coffee on the nose. Med-lite body with black fruit, cherry skin and tart citrus on the palate. Balanced and decent structure. Med-short finish.

Mountains to Metro (Heritage Ballroom in the Governor Hotel): Nice Pinot spice aromas. Pretty bright fruit here, and you can almost smell the acidity. Very nice and soft, and pretty light for 2009. The palate is elegant and soft, with nice fruit, tannins, and spice. Just the slightest bit of earth. More spice and acids on the finish. The acids do resemble that of '09, but still not sure I'd pick this as that vintage blind. I think this has nice room to improve from here. 88+

So this is Rolin Stoles private label? Trying to get out from under the Argyle cluster? Tight and a bit hard, needs a bit of time, I can see it working at $25 but man is it a tough back end. So what is going on at Argyle?

Ripeness and hints of stewed fruit offer testament to the hot vintage. Well made, very good acid. Quaffable. 88-89.

Red berries and cherry cola. Closed nose at first, but opened up to a touch of lavender and nuanced herbals. A pretty wine with a lovely finish.

Not as good as my previous bottles, but I'm thinking it was my palate, and not the wine.

Needs at least 2 more years to relax. Really hot up front, fades off and a few minutes later, a nice finish. Pretty smooth on the palette.

Not quite sure on this one, softened the second day to show it's velvety bright red fruit. Might show higher on the next bottle.
