14.4% alcohol. Never have been much of a Gewurtz fan, but I always like this wine. It's definitely on the floral side -- probably more so in 2010 than 2009 -- but it bone dry, so the acidity and fruit stand up to the floral element more than normal. A touch of heat on the back side. B+

Sonoma Wine Tasting & San Francisco - March 2012; 3/22/2012-3/27/2012: This was one of the more interesting surprises of the whole trip: a single-vineyard, bone-dry gewurtz with a lot of class. Aromas of lychee, white peach and spice. The palate is dry, almost chalky, with pineapple and banana peel flavors. Long finish with lychee nut. The group really liked this wine's unique personality.

A rich gold colored white with a grape fruit, citric nose, The taste is acidic semi-sweet fruit, a very dry finish with a touch of citric and anise on the finish. You can almost feel a fizz when you swoosh this wine. The fruit structure and layer is throughout the taste, with a nice layering acid, citrus and anise built upon it. A very well made white.

Joseph Swan/Rod Berglund Tasting at Byerlys (Byerlys Wine Shop, Golden Valley, MN): Nose: Beautiful floral aromas. Rose petals. Palate: Medium acidity and quite dry with good minerality and weight. Finishes very clean. Very delicate and feminine. Unlike many other offerings this Gewurtz does not bowl you over with excessive aromas and flavors. A very unique and welcome stylistic change from the typical Gewurtz.

Still going strong after 3 years of age. I love this dry Gewurtz. Drank at Siggy's party on 10/5.

Drank this wine for Thanksgiving. It was an excellent match to the sage and rosemary in the stuffing.

Consistent with my notes on 4/19/11 although this is the first bottle consumed. Really well made domestic Gewurtz.
