  • Still violet red, some sediment. Dark berries, dusty, garrique on nose. Palate still on the firm end of the spectrum, but in balance with berry-driven fruit expression. No hurry, but further development not expected.

  • Regular dinner group (@ PZ): Yoghurt and cherry candy flavors in the bouquet, some dark berries as well. On the palate lactic as well, dark forest fruits, some smoke and oak, good acidity and fairly supple tannin. In this stage not overly interesting. It is still youthful, so maybe with another 3+ years of ageing it will show more complexity and finesse. Not sure. 87+?

  • BYO to restaurant La Cabra in Madrid pairing a salt and peppered steak tartar and a cheese table.
Rustic, earthy, dusty plums on the nose
Palate is tannic without any trace of elegance or distinction.
    Sincerely I don't need this.

  • Decanted for 30 minutes before tasting. Purple core, pink rim. On the nose; primary red fruit, garrigue, dry soil, spicy oak and a whiff of alcohol. On the palate; cool fruit, medium bodied – not really showing too much. Quite a surprise – I was expecting something a lot more powerful. A bit disappointing, but should still be decent accompanying lighter meat dishes.

  • PnP. Flavor profile and 'dustiness' similar to last year's bottle. This time the wine was more open, especially on the palate. Entry had open expressive fruit framed by acidity which followed to finish. Did not feel tight at all, but now reveals a little 'emptiness' midpalate which recovers by the finish. Pleasant, refreshing and quite a good accompaniment for dinner.

  • PnP. Dusty red fruit on nose. Lean medium bodied palate with a slightly austere texture and firm, but 'tame' tannins. Good mineral and bright acidity. Interesting style. Seems a bit tightly wound at the moment, but easy to appreciate nevertheless.

  • Pretty tight. I liked this better on the second day, a lightness and elegance I didn't appreciate the first day was there.

  • A decent bottle, but as with the last tasting, nothing to warrant anything like a 95 pro rating. Light fruit, minerals and herbs on the nose. Relatively light-bodied, with a somewhat hollow palate.

  • Very young of course.
Complex nose, smoky, dusty fruit, peat/iodine too.
Structure with big but polished tannin.
Liked it for the complexity, I think this will be much better with some age.

  • Red fruit, especially cherry on the nose. Green feel on the palate, and a bit spicy. The Mouverde grape part dominates the aftertaste. Not to my liking. Much acid, little tannins left. Can't see this will benefit much on further cellaring. 95 points from Parkers guide is way off I think. Good wine with food but I think its not worth the buck

  • After a three hour decant red fruit and herb on the nose. To taste, lush red fruit. That is about it.

  • WA went a little overboard with the 95 rating - professional wine reviewers must be part bloodhound. The nose is the main feature of this bottle, light but complex with red berry aromas, iodine/wet slate, with just the barest hint of herbs. Light bodied, the mid-palate fades away so it seems nearly watery. It's not particularly acidic and is barely tannic, but against the light texture, they are perceptible and lend some structure. Holding the wine in the mouth generates an interesting tingle that builds the longer it is held, but seems a bit of a parlor trick when it's this intense. Interesting, and some might describe this as feminine or elegant, but not worth the price at $40. I certainly have trouble seeing this last - drink now.
