Plush vanilla and tart pear on the nose. Lots of air brings out a floral and citrus character that the vanilla hides; I wish the roles were reversed here. The flavors pierce through the muddle a bit, even as they remain over-wooded; a series of unripe fruits and minerals are very interesting here.
Less wood, and I'd be much happier with this wine. Paired with sautéed shrimp on grilled toast with aioli, poached egg, and asparagus.

Fairly rich and full-bodied palate of stone fruits, lemon and touch of vanilla; A mineral-laced finish with plenty of acidity keeps the wine fresh; Nice value

This is really nice tonight with, while not particularly note worthy, surprising depth to the flavors of stone fruit, abit of citrus and moderately firm minerality with a reasonably long finish. All in all, quite nice and at $16 a bottle, a very good qpr.

Rich nose of melons, cucumber, pear, and minerality. Well constructed, rounded, great mouthfeel. Gripping, chalky mid-palate that transitions to a long finish. Really enjoyable.

very pale gold. Smell of peaches, butter and cooked red apple. Taste is unripe peach, red apple, lots of minerals with citrus coming through later and some subtle nuts in the background. Medium acid, medium alcohol, dry, citrus aftertaste, medium body. I'm not sure whether it has seen any oak...the elements of butter and nuts make me think it could have seen a little, but it is not obvious to me in any case.

Clean inviting nose with honey, flowers, and saline. Sticky honey up front on the palate, followed by lemon and minerals mid palate that continues and finishes long.

Exuberant nose that's equal parts fruit (green apple, citrus), cream and honey with a hint of white nuts for good measure. Palate is quite rich initially - more honey - but then there's a seam of acidity that makes you sit up straight. Deftly oaked. Not far off As Sortes quality-wise but for around half the price. Impressive; will buy again.

Very pretty floral nose with some white peach and chalkiness underneath -- love the nose. The palate is light and clean. Finishes a little shorter than I'd like, but otherwise a very tasty wine and solid QPR.

Monthly Tasting Group LTB 2012-03; Northern Spain white wines (By IL): Elegant bouquet with white fruits. Slightly smoky in the mouth, some oak, tart citrus, clove, anise and white fruits. The fruits present themselves better when the wine gets more air and becomes a bit warmer. Really very good wine.

Not very aromatic on the nose: peach, citric notes, sugar. On the palate is fresh wit a greasy background, good acidity, peach and grapefruit aromas, herbal notes. This wine reminded me of Cloudy Bay 2009 but on a step below, with less intensity.

A combination of ripe, aromatic tropical fruit and flower aromas and exotic spices with a hint of green aromatic herbs on the nose. On the palate the tropical fruit flavors return, intermingled with passion fruit-like acidity and hints of aromatic herbs and spices. A hint of bitterness on the aftertaste. Special, but quite tasty.

Pale gold. Nose mildly honeyed and chalky. Oak is perfectly integrated. Refreshing and tangy. Wonderful to drink now.

Took a few hours to really open up. Riper style nose of melons, macerated apples and vanilla. Apples, white pear and a chalky mid-palate.

Light gold. Nose of nectarine and green pepper. Medium weight. Elegant. A suggestion of sweetness but lovely fresh acidity and length.
