    Clear, deep gold color.

Clean, medium intensity with complex nose of jasmin essence, honeysuckle, ripe peach and apricot jam with a few petrol tones that while dominating at first sniff, it quietly settled down and remained in the background. Fully developed

Medium dry, medium+ body, medium intensity, medium alcohol (12.5%), medium+ acidity only because it has to be such because the wine has ideal balance, tropical fruits flavors of lychee, tinned pineapple with a couple of bananas as well, some nectarine with lime juice in the back over a thin layer of pastry. Medium finish

Borderline premium price (26 euros), very good wine and not outstanding because I expected a longer finish. Drink now as the wine feels at its peak.

  • A fantastic aged riesling. Dark golden color. Great nose of honey, candied quince, passion fruit, beeswax, petrol and sweet citrus fruit. Med+ bodied with noticeable sweetness (had it been German it would be an auslese in terms of ripeness and spatlese in terms of sweetness) which was a surprise to me since most P. Blanck Grand Cru rieslings - e.g. Schlossberg- I have come across to date were rather on the dry side, balancing acidity and a very long aftertaste. Fully mature but offering a great drinking experience.
