Medium purple with minimal garnet. Green cherry and soapstone with hints of earthy mushrooms. Palate is blackberry and cedar with black cherry cocoa. Acid is moderate and tannins are fine with a long finish.

Bouquet of ripe dark fruits, with notes of raisins or prunes, sweet vanilla, and baking spices. Immediate taste profile of Amarone on the attack, which comes off very nicely. This wine embraces the palate, it is concentrated, warm, and inviting with excellent texture. Not as dry as many Amarones. Interesting experience.

Had with Argentinian amigo- we were pleased with this foreign amarone! Smooth black fruit, well integrated oak, good acidity, lingering spice, and slightly sweet finish. Will but again!

Collaboration between Allegrini & Bodega Renacer. 60% Malbec, 30% Cab Sauv, 5% Cab Franc, 5% Bonarda. Grapes dry on the vine and don't rot because of low humidity. The result is a super ripe Amarone-like style. Very interesting and unique, some might describe as too fruity but you have to know what it is. There is heat and structure there too, subtle in the background.

Medium to light body Bordeaux blend plus Malbec. Good flavors of dark fruits, spices, a bit sweet. Light nose, but a fun blend with medium tannins. A good company wine. Seems a bit lighter than tasted 10 months ago.

Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of currants, pepper, plums and licorice. Flavors of currants, plums and berries. Medium acidity, medium tannins, medium to full bodied. Drink or hold.

A neighbor gave this to me and notes are from night 2 (in cellar under vacuvin). Much better on night 2 and served at a cooler temperature. Very similar to Allegrini's Palazzo della Torre wine - black cherry, cherry, menthol on nose. Medium body, good acids, medium+ finish. Flavor profile is bright given the acidity & similar to the nose. This was a surprise and would buy again.

Bought 3 bottles on the fly at Costco for $22...never heard of it & I haven't had many Argentine wines or much Malbec over the years. This is a BIG, dark, pleasure drinking wine. Tons of black & blue SWEET fruit on the palate with spice, oak & dirt. While it is not a seamless wine, the components are solid & the finish last a long time. There is a sweetness that lingers. I don't get a lot on the nose, but I do pick up hints of french oak. There is very good freshness (acidity) it seems, but not overly complex. This is a great party wine when your "wine group" is not invited. Would be interested to see if this thing can age at all.

A nose of very dark fruits and spice, black in color. A full bodied kitchen sink blend with blackberry, sweet cassis, jammy brown sugar and licorice, many flavor levels. Decant for a couple hours.

This note is from memory. Nice quality wine very much in the ripasso style - lots of flavor of raisins. Very true to wine maker description. Not my style.

The nose showed bright ripe cherries, cinnamon sugar and coco dust with a savory side as well that added leather, chalk dust, eucalyptus and seared meat. On the palate, it was full bodied and glided over the senses like a velvet glove. Notes of black cherry, raisin, sweet spices and licorice leading into the long staying finish. You can smell and taste the Amarone style of wine-making, yet this is brighter and more vibrant than most Amarone I've tasted.

Crown Wine Tasting (Pinecrest, Miami, FL): On the sweet side ala Amarone. Very nice Bordeaux blend plus Malbec and Bonarda grapes. Follows the style and flavor profile of Amarone wines. Very fruit forward (dark fruits).

Perfekt.

[Reserve Wines Christmas Wine Fair 24th Nov 2011] Sweet and full, as you'd expect new world Amarone to taste... not sure when would be appropriate to drink though.

New at BVJ - qpr is alright. A little off dry for me - triple the sugar content as other products the producer has - this is in the Amarone style. Nose is dark fruit. Palate is light to medium bodied with nice acid and light tannin. "Bombastic" fruit forward - candied berries predominate. To much sugar for me though.

Very nice with smoked ribs. Especially after an hour. This is a dark purple beauty with a hint of spice. Would recommend decanting.

Very smooth and easy to drink. Intense flavors of dark fruit. Sweet raisin comes in on the finish. If tasted blind, I would go Amarone.
