From a .375. Beautiful botrytis nose. Apricots, almonds and pineapple. Palate was unctuous without being cloying. Color was flax, but no green. So good now, but can last 10 more years, even in the smaller format. I will not have such patience.

From half bottle. If this is a taste of things to come from 09, sign me up! Tremendously long after 4 days open in bottle, this has the cut to go with the great fruit. Wow....

light gold with harmless little particles floating in the bottle, honey and apricots on the nose, full, balanced, lovely, apple sauce, candied oranges, apricots and dried mango flavors, nice with goat milk gpuda

Saturday Smorgasbord of Tastings (San Francisco): Medium yellow. Pineapple and discrete honey. Nice lighter weight, moderate sweetness, more than enough acidity to give it good liveliness. I enjoyed this as a lighter styled Sauternes meant to be drunk over the short to intermediate term.

Solid Sauternes but lacking a little depth. Great flavors of apricot, canned peaches and light botrytis spice. Wish there were a little more acidity and the finish was longer. It did work well on it's own & with a nice triple cream soft rind cheese that was salty & had heavy notes of butter. It may gain some complexity over time but good now.

- Yellow color and aromas of apricot and pineapple. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of apricot and peach with a medium body. Linear texture with a short finish - Young

2 weeks in France; 4/14/2012-4/28/2012 (Provence and Dordogne): BTG pour at l'Envers du Decor in St. Emilion. Exotic aromas of honeysuckle, quince paste, and date leap from the glass. On the palate, the flavors turn more conventional, with botrytised, honeyed apricot, fig, and dried pineapple notes of moderate intensity, but with good clarity and cut. Yup...this works with fois. Tasty stuff.

Tasting Group Dinner: Piedmont (Damico Kitchen): Rich medium gold color. Nose has honey, peach, apricots, white flowers, minerality. While primary, this is drinking incredibly well. Palate is medium bodied, nice acid, some honey, peach. Hard to resist this as is.

Brilliant, right out of the bottle. I picked up two of these yesterday and wish I'd bought more. Smooth, lovely, with a nose of apricots and honeysuckle... love this and it 's fantastic for the price point ($40-45).

Tasted from 375, right after tasting the '07. This is midweight and much lighter in color than 07. It is bright, but not heavy gold in the glass, overripe peach and candied citrus nose. Hint of something more there. Fresh acidity, Medium Body, Hint of something else there. I like this quite a lot and at the moment it is much more enjoyable than the 07.

Peaches and cream, drizzled with honey. Need I say more. The finish is divine on this Sauternes.

Really nice. Has all the sweet ripe fruit qualities, but enough acidity and depth to be interesting. Well worth the price.

Peach, honey, maybe even caramel. Kind of acidic, more so than what I was in the mood for.

Tasted on July 28, 2012. This was a good Sauternes with a heavy peach attack and a mellow, surprisingly fast, smooth finish.
