Not as blown away as last time - really solid and well put together, but was a little ordinary next to the 2010 Fevre Bougros, which completely blew me away with its concentration and energy.

Superb and in top form. Acidity, but a rich quality. Great depth and length. Chablis slate secondary to its big qualities. Immediately enjoyable but improved slowly in the decanter.

This was good, but this bottle at least seemed to be in the beginning phase of going downhill; I wouldn't call it oxidized as it is still quite delicious, but there were some bruised fruit notes that made it seem close. There is still good underlying concentration and vivacity to the flavors with floral notes and hints of iodine, but it reminded more of a wine from the Cote than Chablis.

Bit of SO2 on the nose, medium intensity, has a lightness and elegance, but with enough depth to say "this is Grand Cru in a great vintage", good doses of oyster shell and sea spray make this quintessential Chablis, with slight hints of saline and lemon citrus through the finish. A lovely wine, still young but drinking beautifully.

Big chardonnay . Maybe missing some balance for the higher score. But very good to drink. I should wait a liitle bit longer for the grand crus. Wait !!!!!!

Mature Premier & Grand Cru Chablis with Richard Brazier (Handford Wines, London): Side by side with the C. Moreau Le Clos 2010 (Papies 94) and really very few differences between the 2 wines at this stage. The Valmur had more length. Proper grand cru, elegant. Light touch of honey, floral. Effortlessly balanced , silky and with a lightness. Still quite a bright and spirited wine full of energy but very well polished acidity adds an effortless charisma to it. Its like it is saying i know am a grand cru and i don't have to shout it. 94-95

This is great Chablis! I was worried that I'm opening it too young, but this drank great out of the bottle! quite round on the palate but impeccably elegant. Green pear, banana and yellow pepper notes with powerful saline minerality on the finish. Really long and complete.

I took this to a weekend event in another town. I didn't take notes at the time. I have one bottle remaining which I will probably open in 2018 or sooner and may enter some notes when I drink that one.

Light straw. Nose of orange blossom honey, oyster shell, and iodine. Orange blossom and iodine in the mouth with mouth-watering acidity and a long finish. Nervy energy yet already so ripe and opulent. Drink through 2030.

Light straw. Sexy nose of orange blossom honey, crushed oyster shell, and iodine. Orange blossom and iodine flavors are still a bit tightly wound, but this is already so expressive and rich. Great acidity, long finish. This will keep giving for 15+ years.

Light straw. Nose of orange blossom, iodine, and crushed shell. Green apple and iodine in the mouth. Medium-plus acidity. Long, lingering finish of oaky spice. Structured and built to last, this is lovely now with air but will sing if allowed a few more years in the bottle. Best 2018 through 2030.

PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs -translucent light/med gold -moderately expressive, slight tropical, some salinity -med acidity kicks in late, ripe yellow fruits, med+ concentration on med weight, silky finesse, very good complexity, barest hint of caramel on long finish, no overt oxidative notes as found on last bottle -Grand Cru finesse, a bit on the ripe side, still with some upside

One of my favourite chablis tasted recently. Quite complex, funky (IIRC) with good fruit flavour and barrel ferment character whilst still having mineral and typical chablis subtlety.

Wildman New Release Burgundy Tasting (Peninsula Hotel - Chicago IL): Slightly ripe tropical fruit aromas along with some lemon and lemon peel. Flavors are slightly less tropical, showing lots of ripe apple, lemon and lemon peel again. Lots of minerality and acidity, classically and beautifully Chablis, this is a real step up from Vaudesir.

Focus on 2010 Burgundy- The 2013 La Paulee Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion, New York): Much deeper than the Vaudesir with classic Chablis aromas and great finishing acidity. The wood is more in the background because of the better concentration of fruit. Excellent.
