Yellow. Brothy lemon aromas. Full bodied, powerful, and really penetrating. Pristine and as good as the other 2 Grand Cru Chablis from Raveneau and Dauvissat that we had today. Outstanding wine.

Just emerging from infancy with mineral driven citrus note, nut, slight apple hint, harmonious texture, with plenty of fruits and lots of freshness, long salivating finish, hard to believe this is 11 years old!
Very pale, almost translucent. On the nose chalky minerality, oat meal, citrus fruit, white stone fruit. On the palate very fresh and bright, herbal. Less expressive than previous bottles and almost a little lean at times. Good length. 90-92

Remarkably light yellow with a greenish tinge-this looks like 2 year old Chablis. Iodine and salty broth on the nose. Medium to full bodied with more obvious wood vanillin than I personally care for, but also wonderful energy, power, acidity, and lemony goodness that carry it forward. Without a doubt, this manages to be outstanding Grand Cru level Chablis despite the distraction of the oak. I don't know whether it will get any better from here.

Dead perfect drinking window. Some pears on the nose, a touch of vanilla in the palate from oak, the hallmark mineralogy is well-framed by its age. Ephemeral, fresh finish. I have the ‘10 Preuses and Vaulorent from Fevre to try in the near future and compare. This was a bargain from Last Bottle marathon ($69, teehee)

Lots of depth to the nose, generous fruit, oyster shell, crushed stones, white/yellow stone fruit. On the palate intense and quite punchy, almost a bit tight still. Complex, long finish. 91-93

Tasted next to 2006 Fevre Chablis GC Les Clos. Pale yellow in colour. Oyster shell, salinity, crushed stones, white and yellow fruit on the nose. Very bright and grippy on the palate, lean, intense with lots of power and energy. Fine length. Quite backward and a little restrained. 92-93+

Tasted over 2 hrs -translucent pale gold-green -mild reduction minerally ocean lemon -med/med+ acidity, med- weight on the lean side with a sappy extract residue of saline mineral cool green fruit -very nice and great Chablis (and Valmur) typicity though less depth and complexity than I would expect

Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of pale lemon color, with watery rims and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium intensity aromas of citrus fruit of lemon and grapefruit, green fruit of green apple, mineral notes of stony and brine, kernel notes of almond, dairy notes of cream, stone fruit of peach, floral notes of acacia. The wine is developing. Palate: Dry with medium (+) acidity, the wine has medium alcohol, light body and medium (+) intensity flavors of citrus fruit of lemon, mineral notes of stony, floral notes of acacia, kernel notes of almond, dairy notes of cream. The wine has a medium (+) finish. Conclusion: Very good quality Chablis Grand Cru with a reasonably intense nose of good complexity, the wine has shown typical varietal characters, reinforcing with the clear malolactic fermentation notes adopted by the domaine, with an elegant body on the palate, exhibiting good concentration of palate with similar flavors. It is highly refreshing and appealing, ready to drink now, though can maintain for another 2-3 years.

Tasted over 2 hrs -translucent light gold-green -mild reduction touch of oak cool green fruits -med acidity, med/med- weight restrained and elegant cool green fruits with some saline minerality, good if not spectacular length -this bottle has some Valmur characteristics and is on the restrained and regal end of the spectrum, lacks the explosive fireworks of some of the other Fevre 2010s

First of four bottles. Still a great value wine when compared with white Burgs. Intense nose, nervy and tightly wound palate. Grapefruit predominates. Refreshing acid with lasagna. Noted that Le Fevre now uses Diam composite corks (when did they change?) so no problems with cork taint.

2010 WILLIAM FEVRE VALMUR CHABLIS GRAND CRU- this wine is a frequent visitor to our dinner group and thankfully so; it`s genuine Chablis with lots of grace and charm; the minerality and texture was reminiscent of childhood cod liver oil, in a good sense although the application as a child was not perceived so positively by me; it had classic oyster shell, flint and minerals complimenting the nice citrus flavours.

Restrained elegance and at the same time racy and juicy. Exciting in the glass with fresh aromas. Stuctured, taut, with moutwatering tartness. Wonder what further bottle age will bring.

Crisp aromas of honeyed apples, grass and a touch of petrol. Rich yet crisp with flavors of apples, honey and buttery pastry. Salinity is apparent early but subsides over time.
